The Butte Montmartre is the artsy place of Paris, a "village in the Center of Paris", a safe and quiet area,   pedestrians having priority and car traffic being restricted during week-ends, while a special security care is given to this major attraction in Paris, with more than 8 million visitors/year.

Since it is on a steep hill, it stands like an island off neighboring areas,  being known since centuries as the "Artsy Place of Paris", the place of Picasso, Renoir, Toulouse-Lautrec, Utrillo and most of the greatest French aritists, with a rich history of ancient typical parisian buildings in tiny cobble stoned streets.
